Terms of Use

These terms are between you and Gerany for the Gerany Phone app and the subscription that unlocks it.

1. What Gerany Phone is

Gerany Phone is a software telephone (a SIP softphone) for iPhone and iPad. It signs in to a phone line you already have with a supported provider — Telnyx or Twilio, on your own account — and lets you place and receive calls on that line. It does not provide a phone number, does not carry or terminate calls on its own network, and does not resell minutes. Your provider is the regulated carrier for your line, under your own agreement with them, and your calls are billed by them at their rates.

Emergency calls. Gerany Phone does not provide access to emergency services (such as 911) and must not be relied on for them. Use a telephone service that does provide emergency calling.

2. The subscription

Gerany Phone is unlocked by a single auto-renewable subscription:

• Product: Gerany Phone Monthly (com.gerany.phone.monthly).
• Price: $0.99 per month, after a free first month. The price shown in the app at purchase is the one that applies in your App Store storefront.
• Length: one month, renewing automatically.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. If a free trial applies, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription where Apple permits.

You can restore a subscription you already hold with the Restore Purchases button on the app's subscription screen. Prices may change; a change applies only to future periods and Apple will seek your agreement where it is required.

3. Apple's Standard EULA

Except where these terms say otherwise, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to apps obtained from the App Store: Apple Standard EULA. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.

4. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the provider account and the credentials you enter, for keeping them secure, and for any charges your provider bills you.
• You will use the app lawfully, and not to harass, defraud, or violate anyone's rights, or in breach of your provider's terms.
• You will not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as the law or Apple's rules allow.

5. Third parties

Your provider (Telnyx or Twilio) is a separate company and is responsible for the line, its availability, and its charges. Gerany Phone is made by Gerany and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Telnyx LLC or Twilio Inc.; their names are trademarks of their owners, used only to name the services this app connects to. Apple is not a party to these terms except as stated above.

6. Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Call quality, availability and delivery depend on your device, your network and your provider, which we do not control. To the extent the law allows, Gerany is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do, and material changes are reflected in the app or on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
