The assistant

How Gerany works, plus answers to common questions.

Gerany has two assistants, and they act for different people. Your assistant acts for you: it finds things nearby, says whether a shop is open, books a table, registers you for a gathering, and can send a shop a message on your behalf. A shop's business manager acts only inside that one shop, and can only *propose* a change.

Neither assistant ever acts on its own. A booking, a registration or a message arrives as a card showing exactly what will happen, and nothing happens until you tap Confirm. If you close the card, nothing was done.

You get 60 questions a day. Before the limit the assistant mentions it in passing; at the limit it says when the count comes back, and plain search keeps working.

What you control, and what no one can see

Your side. On the search page: a switch to include out-of-stock items, New question to start a fresh conversation, and your recent conversations to pick one up again. A follow-up works in the same box — the assistant remembers the conversation until you start a new one or delete it.

A shop's side. The shop decides whether it shows out-of-stock items, whether neighbours may message it, and what its assistant is called. An out-of-stock item appears only when BOTH sides agree — if either says no, it stays hidden.

What the assistant never sees. Your position is used for one search and never stored as a history: it knows your area, not your address. It cannot see a shop's exact stock, costs or revenue, and never another person's bookings. And a shop never sees your question, your radius, or who asked.
