The feed shows posts from neighbors within your radius.
- Write a post with an optional title and photos; hashtags label it — Gerany suggests tags as you write, and you can add your own (up to 5).
- Comment and like — the author gets a notification.
- Tap any neighbor's name or @handle to see their profile, posts, and comments.
- The bell 🔔 at the top collects your comment, like, and RSVP notifications.
01
Write your first post
1. On the Feed tab, tap the composer ("What's happening in the neighborhood?").
2. Write your post. A title is optional — most posts don't need one.
3. Tap Photos to attach up to a few pictures.
4. Tags are suggested automatically from your words — remove any, or add your own with #hashtags. Tags help neighbors find posts by topic, in any language.
5. Tap Post. It appears to neighbors around you, tagged with how far away it happened.
To post you need: a verified phone or email, plus a profile photo — both one-time, both in Settings.
02
Choose who sees a post
By default a post goes to all nearby neighbors. For something more private:
1. In the composer, tap Who sees this post?
2. Pick one or more of your circles — the post then appears only in those circles' feeds, never in the neighborhood feed or search.
3. A circle is a group you pick yourself (family, building friends…). Create them under Circles in your profile menu.
03
Post anonymously
For sensitive questions, post without your name:
1. In the composer, switch on Post anonymously.
2. The post appears as "A neighbor nearby" — no name, no photo.
3. Moderation can still see identity behind the scenes, so anonymity can't be abused. Everyone gets 2 anonymous posts a month; Gerany+ members have no limit.
04
Save posts for later
1. Tap the 🔖 bookmark on any post.
2. Pick a list, or create a new one.
3. A list can be Private (you + collaborators you invite), Public (shown on your profile), or shared with a Circle.
4. Find everything under Saved in your profile menu.
